Welcome to our Artshop! We are Karin and Monika, two female artists from Austria. In 2021, we joined forces and founded this online platform called “Der feine Artshop”. Here you can find a curated selection of our available artworks.

Abstract landscapes - inspired by nature, made for your home!
Karin’s paintings are expressive and yet they capture the serenity of nature.
Inspired by natural areas and based on numerous outdoor sketches her paintings are a representation of feeling a landscape, rather than a record of seeing it.
Karin often heads out for some quick plein-air sketching. Drawing directly from life gives her a chance to experience nature with all her senses. The spicy scent of pine trees. The sun highlighting the autumn covered trees. The dense fog covering the grass. Karin appreciates these impressions and collects them as colour notes and shapes from nature. Back in her studio she translates these sketches into large canvas paintings. The final paintings invite the viewer to look closer, and discover places made up by loose brushstrokes and vibrant colours.
Karin Czermak studied at the Univeristy of Applied Arts, Vienna at the Master Class for Painting, as well as at the University of Rovaniemi, Finland. She is further holding a Master Degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology and a Bachelor Degree in Chinese Studies. Karin has been involved in cultural, humanitarian and educational projects worldwide. Her works have featured in exhibitions and publications at home and abroad.
Monika Herschberger
Expressive abstract art - that makes your room shine!
Creating art always was a refuge for Monika Herschberger, a place of return to herself. Especially during her youth, the act of creation was often the only anchor. In a phase of identity exploration, archetypal images of women fascinated her the most. These images transformed, just as she herself did, becoming increasingly abstract. In this transformation, gestural expression and the interplay of color and form took center stage in her art.
Her second passion is jazz singing, which she pursued intensively for several years. Music continues to resonate in her artworks; sometimes she sings during the process or listens to jazz songs for hours, drawing inspiration. Her paintings capture this rhythm and pass it on to the viewers.
